Tell MEBEP: It's time to electrify diesel trucks and buses

Diesel trucks and buses are some of the leading sources of climate pollution in Maine, accounting for over a quarter of the global warming emissions produced by the transportation sector. They also emit toxic air pollutants which are harmful to our health, causing and exacerbating heart and respiratory diseases like asthma and lung cancer. If we want to reduce our impact on the climate and put public health first, we need to focus on electrifying diesel vehicles.

That's why we need the Maine Board of Environmental Protection (MEBEP) to adopt the Advanced Clean Truck rule, which will require an increasing percentage of heavy-duty vehicles each year to be electric. Send a message to the MEBEP now, telling them that you support this rule.
